Kayak the Strait of Megellan, the waterway that divides the continent and “Isla Grande de Tierra Del Fuego” and connects the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
After being picked up, you will be driven to the put in location. Upon arrival, professional guides will share with you the unique history of this journey that will amaze you and acquaint you with Bay of Punta Arenas. You will be provided with all safety equipment and waterproof clothing before heading to the beach for a brief instructional session on how to maneuver the two person kayaks.
You will then kayak the bay of Punta Arenas, first passing by the old ruins or springs "Green and Loreto" that are now inhabited by cormorants and gulls.
From there you will go through the main port of Punta Arenas to reach the old boat dock or stranded head on the south coast of the bay.
If weather conditions allow it, you will also kayak to a location where you can briefly observe a small colony of sea lions that live on buoys.
After the tour you can enjoy a hot chocolate. Total kayaking time is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
