You'll begin your bike tour of Washington, DC in the early evening when you meet your expert guide and hop on one of the provided bicycles to begin your tour of Washington. From there you will embark on a three-hour ride that will take you along a seven mile route that includes the best sights in Washington, DC.
You’ll tour alongside the Washington Monument, which stands at an impressive 555 feet. Continue onto the World War II Memorial, which opened in 2004 and features 4048 gold stars on one side, each representing 100 Americans that died in the war. Visit the Lincoln Memorial and the monument wall that honors those who fought and died in the Korean War.
Your tour of the nation's capital continues as you ride by the White House, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Each of the walls of the Vietnam Memorial are 246 feet long and feature 74 granite panels which are inscribed with a total of 58,722 names. You will also see the Smithsonian Castle and several famous Smithsonian Museums, as well as historic Union Station.
Your bike tour includes a bottle of water and a light snack in addition to a plethora of interesting stories and historical facts. Children are welcome to bike along on the tour as long as they can operate handbrakes and are over 4'6" tall. Otherwise, trailer carriages and trailer tandems are available at an additional cost.
