After meeting your guide at the starting location, you will board your safari bus and get ready to start a introduction to some of the many sites and tastes Cozumel has to offer. During your tour, you will experience a little sand, a little history and a little tequila, all that have had an influence on the island, from the back of an open-air safari bus.
As you travel, your guide will brief you on the history and highlights of the island. Your first stop will be at "Cedral" which was the first town on the island of Cozumel. Although this was a small village and not on the scale of the Mayan ruins on the mainland, it was still a part of the Mayan history and your guide will explain how this structure came to be here. Local artisans will be on hand to show you their hand crafts. After your mini Mayan history introduction, you will re-board the safari bus and continue on.
You will then travel to the far side of the island where you will enjoy a unique beach with white sands, lounge chairs and a pool overlooking the sea. You will have approximately 90 minutes to relax, swim, beach comb or purchase a tropical drink at the bar.
Your last stop will be back on the west side of the island where you will learn about the process of tequila making. Guides will teach you the process for making tequila, from the plant to the bottle. After the demonstration, test different types of tequila such as a Tequila Blanco, Tequila Reposado, or Tequila Anejo.
Your last stop is in the downtown area.
