During your 2.5 hour photo tour in Washington, D.C., you'll tour some of the area's most famous sights while receiving expert guidance from a photography professional. On this tour through Washington, D.C., learn how to take your camera out of the Auto or "P" mode and move into the manual settings so you can take professional quality photos. Your expert guide will explain when to choose shutter priority over aperture priority setting and other classic photography skills. Ever wondered how to blur a background with a sharp portrait, make moving cars disappear on a street, or get moving water to look like a cloudy mist? Now is your chance to try out all these tricks while you visit our nation's most hallowed memorials.

Make sure to bring your camera and all your lenses (leave the tripod at home) to get the most out of your half day photo tour of Washington, D.C. Your photo tour will take you to the White House to capture classic scenery and the gorgeous Lafayette Park, also known as President's Park, for access to lovely landscapes and statues. The final venue for your photo safari is the Smithsonian's Museum of American Art. Shoot photos throughout its Great Hall and apply techniques of depth of field on the various paintings and sculptures inside. You will also spend some time on 17th Street practicing the art of photographing moving vehicles in order to solidify your understanding of shutter speeds and depth of field.
