Your photography seminar in Washington, D.C. begins with an in-depth 45-minute travel photography orientation during which you will learn tips on basic architectural photography, outdoor portraiture, and indoor photography without a flash or tripod. Your expert photographer and guide will then take you on a Washington, D.C. photo tour so you can get hands on guidance as well as access to the best sites and angles in Washington, D.C.
Your tour will take you to some of the most popular monuments in Washington, D.C. Begin your day at the Renwick Gallery, where your small group will meet. Proceed to the White House before heading into Lafayette Park. Also known as Presidential Park, Lafayette Park offers an array of gorgeous sculptures in addition to unique and interesting angles of the White House. Later, visit the memorials dedicated to Albert Einstein, President Lincoln, The Korean War, and The Vietnam War. Your final stop will be Union Station, where you will practice indoor photography for large spaces and learn tricks to make all the moving people in the station practically disappear.
This half day Washington, D.C. photo safari is an excellent learning opportunity for all photographers from beginners to budding professionals. Users of all types of cameras (film and digital) are welcome to attend as long as they are familiar with how to change their cameras settings. If using an SLR please being all your lenses, but tripods are not used on this tour. Your tour will conclude at Union Station on the Metro Red Line.
